With us you can have optimal preparation and compete at a competitive level, but not only that. We also offer our clients basic level courses for the first approaches to riding. For several years now, experts in Show Jumping have been born from the Pompeii Riding School. After a trial lesson it will be necessary, in order to continue the equestrian activity, to subscribe to the F.I.S.E. (Italian Equestrian Sports Federation) license issued by the center itself. In this regard, we present three different types of courses.
BASIC COURSE
Aimed at all those who are approaching horses for the first time. Anyone who is eight years of age or older and has a medical certificate of soundness may enroll. The aim of the course is to approach the horse's basic gaits: stride, trot and gallop. Priority attention is given to teaching horse care: nutrition, cleaning, dressing and preparing a good bedding. We meet periodically to take care of the horses and harnesses, as those who care for horses in stables all over the world do every day.
Activities are held Tuesday through Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings.
Tentative hours:
Winter period: 2:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday;
9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Summer period: 4:30/19:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday;
7:30/11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
PONY COURSE
Aimed at all children from 3 years old to 16 years old. The aim of the course is to approach and get to know the pony. During the course children will learn how to approach the pony, how to take care of it and all its characteristics. Also, through team play, they will learn how to ride it safely. Great attention is paid to the psychological aspect of the child as well as the motor aspect, which will be improved through a series of exercises and activities.
Activities are held Tuesday through Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings.
Approximate times: 2:30/15:30/16:30 Tuesday through Saturday;
9:00/10:00/11:00/12:00 on Sunday.
AGONIST COURSE
The course is divided into two levels:
Level 1 is dedicated to students who are owners of horses already experienced in competitive riding.
The 2nd level is dedicated to students who are beginning competitive activity and have a first approach to riding competitions. The center also offers:
- private lessons;
- introductory and specialized show jumping courses;
- preparation for national and international level competitions.
