The Investment Project for the energy efficiency enhancement of the Bosco de’Medici facility, presented by Palomba Corporation S.R.L., has been successfully completed, achieving a series of interventions aimed at reducing energy consumption in accordance with the requirements set out in the call for proposals.
The actions were implemented to reduce the electricity consumption of the production unit located in the municipality of Pompei, at Vico S. Abbondio, 10.
Based on the Energy Audit Report carried out at the facility, the following interventions were implemented:
Introduction of motors and pumps using the best available technologies on the market;
Replacement of heating and cooling systems with high-efficiency heat pump systems;
Replacement of traditional water heaters for domestic hot water production;
Building automation systems for lighting and indoor climate control through timers, light, presence, motion, humidity, CO₂, and pollutant sensors;
Photovoltaic systems integrated into the building envelope;
Solar thermal systems;
Biomass-powered generators.
